About Us
Chiltern Learning Trust is a value-driven Multi-Academy Trust (MAT); a collaborative family of 18 schools across Bedfordshire and Luton.
Named MAT of the year in 2025, our schools are united by a shared commitment to providing an exceptional education, working collaboratively across our community to raise the attainment of every learner.
Our commitment to our students is matched by our dedication to our staff. We support and develop them through the Chiltern Training Group (CTG) and the Chiltern Teaching School Hub (CTSH).
Our commitment to our Students:
We are dedicated to ensuring that every child is equipped to lead a happy and successful life as a responsible citizen, regardless of their background & where they live.
This commitment is built on achieving the following core outcomes for our students:
- Growth & Excellence: Students actively enjoy learning, strive to achieve their very best and develop the knowledge and skills needed for life beyond school.
- Citizenship & Impact: Students become responsible citizens who think carefully about the consequences of their actions and contribute positively to their community.
- Holistic Well-being: Students are supported in their spiritual, emotional, moral, cultural and physical development.
- Extra-Curricular Enrichment: Students have access to unique opportunities beyond those they would receive elsewhere. From Cookery Competitions to Climate Change and Digital Innovation summits, these experiences build confidence, develop new skills and form meaningful connections across our wider network of schools.
Our commitment to our Staff
We are committed to not only nurturing the next generation of learners, but the next generation of educators. This commitment is brought to fruition through the unwavering support and professional development opportunities we provide to our colleagues.
This work is underpinned in-house through our:
- Chiltern Training Group (CTG): Providing 'outstanding' School Centred Initial Teacher Training.
- Chiltern Teaching School & Chiltern Teaching School Hub (CTSH): Offering professional development and support at every stage of an educators career.
In addition, the structure of our trust enables us to retain a strong central team of specialists with expertise in: school improvement, finance, marketing, human resources, facilities management and education technology. This ensures that the outstanding quality of teaching and learning is mirrored in the day-to-day running of our schools.
Our impact and achievements:
The measure of our achievements lies in the success of our schools. Our highlights document below provides a comprehensive overview of the precious academic year.
